The members of Moontype travelled down various musical roads before convening and
consolidating their sound. Jazz, classic rock, folk and indie pop have all influenced
their debut album ‘Bodies of Water’. What the Chicago three-piece have created here
is an LP of melodic math rock-infused songs which are given a certain je nais se quois
by vocalist and bassist Margaret McCarthy’s pacifying voice.
